Leadership Team

Allegra Grunberg

CEO & Founder

Allegra Grunberg works at the intersection of public policy, civic advocacy, and advanced technology. She founded WeDecide to repair the broken feedback loops between citizens and government and build a new model of civic intelligence infrastructure.

Her experience spans Capitol Hill, a major New York City mayoral campaign, and the Office of the New York City Public Advocate, giving her firsthand insight into legislative processes, citizen needs, and municipal accountability. She has also built AI and data-driven ventures across the United States, Europe, and Canada.

Allegra holds a Master of Public Administration from University College London. At WeDecide, she combines government experience, entrepreneurship, and institutional design to make civic participation more transparent, actionable, and accountable.

Mahault Albarracin

Chief Science Officer

Dr Mahault Albarracin is Chief Scientist at WeDecide, where she develops the scientific foundations for civic technology that helps institutions learn from people’s lived experience. Her work asks how communities form beliefs, coordinate around shared goals, and turn different perspectives into collective intelligence.

She holds a PhD in cognitive computing from Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research uses Active Inference and Bayesian models to study agency, epistemic communities, social power, sustainability, explainable AI, and multi-agent cooperation. She has published work on echo chambers and epistemic communities, as well as the emergence of shared goals in groups. She is also a fellow of the Active Inference Institute.

At WeDecide, Mahault brings this research into the development of Symbiotic Governance. This approach treats civic narratives and real-world outcomes as evidence that institutions can learn from. Her role is to make the science rigorous, testable, and accountable to the people it is meant to serve.

Faraz Ahmed

Data Science Advisor

Faraz brings a highly specialized blend of data science, artificial intelligence, and public policy expertise to WeDecide. He spent four years at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics, where he tackled complex municipal challenges and gained firsthand experience transforming raw civic data into actionable, city-wide insights.

Following his time in the public sector, Faraz served as a Manager of Data Science and AI/ML at Deloitte Digital, leading advanced machine learning initiatives and scaling AI solutions for major enterprise clients. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Public Policy from the University of Chicago—an academic foundation that perfectly mirrors WeDecide’s mission. Faraz bridges the gap between sophisticated AI architecture and ethical public sector implementation, ensuring our civic data models are accurate, responsible, and impactful.
